I can see one that might be considered shaped but my money is on it being pulled hard down rather than shaped. Oxf and Bucks officer kneeling left of Monty.

You can often tell shaping by the creasing, shaping a beret tend to form hard ridges like a ploughed field in bits.. Ones merely pulled down remain flat and smooth. The ridges are most prominent on the side without the 'overhang'.

Then there are those of us with large heads, resulting in not much floppiness left.

Your berets are more 'stick-out-to-one-side' style rather than floppy IIRC Yith. Scaley's is 'drape-across-the-shoulder'. I quite like the 'back-of-the-head' look myself! 
If you see a stack of cheap post war German Bundy berets at a show or surplus store have a dig in there as i have some that are "large crown" and have the correct air vents to the sides and were a lot cheaper than repro ones and surprisingly on one of the German issue labels was a UK maker(cannot remember now but Compton Webb i think from memory-sold it now.)
Personally... I think shrunk fit looks pants. I don't even do it to my actualy TA Beret.
Shaping is all well and good, a good way to look more smart, but don't go mad. It still needs to be big. Besides, all the rain will make it shape a bit anyway, all the references to any form of "shaping", in the 1950s context primarily, have involved an iron rather than the old "hot/cold".
But if you want that "Para" impression, 2000s...
The current fashion is cap badge on the side of the head.
But the ultimate for "odd" beret shaping has to go to the 17/21 Lancers. Our SSM has his beret with the skull and cross bones in the centre of his forehead, the beret parted in the midde and a sort of swan's bum arrangement at the rear. It acually makes his head look like a motorcycle petrol tank... or perhaps a speed cyclists helmet! Very odd.
Quite often done by AFV crews as it made wearing the old pattern head phones easier, quite common with the RTRs
